PURPOSE:
The purpose for choosing “Animal Farm” as the first book is because I wanted to use literature to teach my understanding of human social structures or what some might call the “political spectrum”).
In general, Human’s fall into one of two groups, either the “ruling body” or the “common body”, some may call this the “master class” and the “slave class”.
Animal Farm gives you a tour of the various social systems and does so in a particular order, showing you how things start and where they end up.
The initial purpose for kicking things off with Animal Farm was to teach about social structures, however the underlying message of this story goes much deeper than that

What's an ALLEGORY?
The story of “Animal Farm” is what is called an “allegory”.
“Allegory” - is a fictional story that has a hidden meaning, usually teaching a moral or political lesson.
This Animal Farm “Allegory” is told through the point of view of the “Ruling Body”. Through the eyes of the "Ruling Body", if one is a fellow member of the "Ruling Body" they are viewed as "Human"; if one is a member of the "Common Body", the "Ruling Body" views them as an "Animal."
Philosophy - how does a meat farmer look at animals? That is how the “ruling body” on this planet looks at you (the "Common Body").

My copy of Animal Farm
My Observation
This book, “Animal Farm”, according to the popular consensus is about the “Russian Revolution”. The introduction in my copy was likely trying to confirm this point of view.
The way I see things, this book has nothing to do with “Russian Revolution.” The beginning of the introduction in my copy, sort of mirrors the conclusion of Animal Farm and increases my stronghold on my position.
“Animal Farm” is not about the Russian Revolution, Animal Farm is about England and her relationship with the rest of the world, especially the American Colonies.
