PURPOSE:
The purpose for choosing “The Declaration of Independence” as the third book to report on, is because it follows up one of the last things mentioned in the “The Book 1984”. In the Appendix of “The Book 1984”, the author mentioned the Self-Evident Truths from the Declaration of Independence and described them as “CRIMETHINK”.
“The Book 1984” describes what happens when Totalitarianism reaches full power. “Totalitarianism” means “Total Government”; “Government” means “Mind Control” (“Totalitarianism” = “Total Mind Control”). The idea that a “Totalitarian” regime would describe the “Declaration of Independence” as “Crime Think”, means that the ideas in the “Declaration of Independence” are the polar opposite of “Totalitarianism” ideology.
“The Book 1984” describes how “Totalitarianism” desires the destruction of “Human Consciousness”; the “Declaration of Independence” and its ideologies are, perhaps, a guide to strengthening “Human Consciousness.”
The "Declaration of Independence" is the Charter (Founding Document) for the united states of America.

What's a CHARTER?
A "Charter” - Is a legal document issued by a sovereign legislature or other authority, defining its privileges, principles, beliefs, and purposes.
The “Declaration of Independence” defines the purpose for the existence of the united states of America and describes its principles and beliefs. The “Declaration of Independence” also lists the authority that grants the existence of the united states of America.

My Observation
"The Declaration of Independence" is the Charter and Founding Document of the united states of America.
The "Declaration of Independence" sets up a type of Government, called a "Republic". A "Government" that is restricted and bound by "The Law".
This legal document however, is not the highest law for the united states of America. The "Declaration of Independence" explains what the highest Law is and who grants that Law.
The "Declaration of Independence" also explains what our duties are as Americans to preserve the authority of this document. Without us Americans fulfilling our duty, the "Declaration of Independence" is just a piece of paper.
